People in the plastic industry used to complain that trade shows were too numerous. With the development of economy and the great increase of people's interest in new technologies, people now need high-quality exhibitions to experience the latest equipment, materials, molds and services.
Fakuma exhibition began to be reported several years ago. We used to like the exhibition very much, because all senior officials of the European machinery industry would be present, which is a good place to get news and gossip. The exhibition time was also good. Many exhibitors can just announce their annual performance, as well as their plans and expectations for the coming year.
It is held in Friedrichshafen, which is located by the Constance Lake in the south of Germany. It is very convenient to travel. But before, it was only a regional exhibition in Europe, with few visitors from North America.
Now Fakuma is not just a mechanical and mold exhibition. Many material manufacturers also appeared at the exhibition.
In the past, the three giants of plastic exhibitions were the most famous - NPE and K exhibitions in Europe and America, and IPF exhibitions in Japan. These exhibitions are held every three years. In addition, each country has its own regional exhibitions, many of which are held once a year.
With the growing globalization of the plastic industry, many regional exhibitions have become our important reporting objects. Therefore, we often go to Mexico, Canada, Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, India, Vietnam and ASEAN countries to participate in the exhibition.
So, what have we learned from these exhibitions? The most important thing is to get information about important markets. Usually, the most unforgettable or important reports we get are related to exhibitors.
A few years ago, the exhibition industry seemed to be in recession. During the economic crisis, some enterprises are unwilling to spend money on exhibition or visit. Some people even predict that before long, traditional exhibitions will be replaced by virtual exhibitions, such as webinars, videos, online chat and other forms.
Maybe this day will come. But it will never happen in the near future.
